Biography
Professor Gao Chao, Qiushi Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Zhejiang University, Director of the Institute of Polymer Science at Zhejiang University, Director of the Advanced Fiber Materials Research Center at Zhejiang University, and recipient of the Distinguished Young Scholar Award (funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China). He has pioneered original achievements including graphene fibers, flexible graphene films, graphene aerogels, graphene nonwoven fabrics, and graphene/silicon room-temperature broadband photodetectors. Through industry-university-research collaborative innovation, he has established the world's first mass production line for single-layer graphene oxide certified by IGCC, invented the fourth-generation fiber—graphene health-care fiber, and achieved full-chain large-scale application of graphene from raw materials to devices, realizing high-performance graphene fibers.
