Professor Feng Guanping was born in 1946 in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. He graduated from the Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanology at Tsinghua University in 1970 and stayed on to teach there, beginning research in the field of precision instruments at the age of 24. He has successively served as Deputy Director of the Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanology at Tsinghua University, Director of the Science and Technology Office of Tsinghua University, Assistant to the President, and Deputy Director of the University Council, as well as the Founding President of the Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen. He is currently the founder and Chairman of Shenzhen Xiwang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. He is one of the pioneers who introduced graphene materials to China and promoted their industrialization: since 2009, he has brought in a large number of overseas Chinese graphene expert teams and invested in and incubated more than 20 graphene enterprises; since 2011, he has served as Honorary Chairman of the Jiangnan Graphene Research Institute, and led the Lihe Angel Equity Investment Fund in investing in enterprises such as Changzhou Sixth Element, Changzhou Two-Dimensional Carbon, and Wuxi Gefeite Electronics; in April 2015, he founded Xiwang New Materials, launching large-scale commercial applications of graphene in heating and medical health. His team's collaboration with Nanjing Medical University on "A Novel Non-Invasive Special Far-Infrared Tumor Therapy Method Based on Graphene Flexible Devices" was published as a cover paper in Advanced Therapeutics in 2020. He has received 5 national-level awards, 14 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievements, 1 Geneva International Invention Award, published more than 100 papers, and holds 22 national patents. In 2019, he received the "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" commemorative medal issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission. In 2020, he was selected as one of the 40 innovative and entrepreneurial figures and advanced model individuals marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. He serves as Honorary Chairman of this conference.
