Biography

Feng Xinliang, Director of the Max Planck Institute for Microstructure Physics in Germany and Chair Professor at TU Dresden, Academician of the Academia Europaea, Member of the German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech), and Member of the German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina). His research mainly focuses on organic synthetic methodology, molecular design and synthesis of π-conjugated systems, bottom-up synthesis of graphene nanoribbons and two-dimensional polymers, electrochemical exfoliation of two-dimensional nanomaterials, and hybrid materials for energy storage and conversion. He has achieved breakthrough results in the atomically precise design of graphene nanoribbons, making them a new platform for exploring quantum phenomena and showing broad application prospects in nanoelectronics, tumor therapy, neuroimaging, and other fields. Professor Feng Xinliang is an advisory board member of several top-tier journals and has significant influence in the international academic community.
